Mission of the Cooperators
The Cooperators bring to the Pauline Family the specific values of secularity. Sharing the common Pauline mission, they live the Gospel in the Spirit of St. Paul, under the gaze of the Queen of the Apostles.
A Cooperator Welcome ...
Wherever the Pauline light does shine, the Cooperator stands ready to add to its brightness.
Join Us!
Cooperators communicate the Gospel with the passion and the courage of the Apostle Paul. St. Paul is waiting -- join us!
A Life Centered on the Eucharist
"From here I will enlighten." For the Cooperator, as for the Founder, Eucharist is source and summit of all activity.
The Apostolate of the Cooperator
Cooperators take their cue from The Founder: "The apostolate of the interior life is the root of every apostolate." Though in the world, Cooperators are not of the world.
Our Mother, Mary Most Holy
Cooperators embrace Mary as a fellow pilgrim. She is the model of every disciple in listening to the Word of her Son, Jesus Christ.
Cooperator Activities
Cooperators are active in all aspects of media and communication. Our work in the book centers is just the tip of the iceberg.

The World of the Pauline Cooperator
What We Do—Our Mission
"Our mission is to make known to the whole world Jesus Christ, Way, Truth and Life, through the proclamation done with the use of the media of social communication."
(Statute of the APC)
What Is Our Mission?
The Pauline Cooperator is a lay person whom the Holy Spirit calls to share in the foundational project of Father Alberione and to realize it together with the other religious institutes of the Pauline Family. Our mission will necessarily be directly related to that of the other branches of the Pauline Family.
We can say, then, that the Mission of the Association of Pauline Cooperators (APC) is to
expand the operation of the Pauline Family
under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and in keeping with the Pauline charism.
How Do We Carry Out Our Mission?
Pauline Cooperators participate fully in the life of the local Church, within their individual parishes, at a diocesan level, or in small home groups. Individual members work in the areas most suited to their individual talents:
pastoral work
catechetical functions
youth ministry
adult education
civic and social work
In all areas, we look to incorporate the tools of media and social communication.
“Spurred on by the apostolic anxiety of St. Paul, who yearned to bring the Gospel to everyone, we infuse all these contexts with the dynamism, creativity and content of the Pauline apostolate.”
(A Lay Vocation in the Pauline Family)
Our spirits are fed not only by prayer, Mass, Communion, and Eucharistic adoration, but also by annual Cooperator retreats under the direction of the Daughters of St. Paul. Cooperators try to meet also on a regular basis, both regionally and nationally.
"St. Paul plays a tremendous role in my life. His writings continue to inspire me to work with passion and diligence. Most profound to me is this scripture passage in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10: '...but he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness. ....I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and constraints, for the sake of Christ; for when I am weak, then I am strong.'"
Easter Almuena, Hawai'an Cooperator
"The promise for the good press is the promise to consecrate oneself to work, to the most beautiful, most holy, and most worthy mission that exists on earth at present."
(Blessed James Alberione)
