Join us on Sunday, September 18, 2011 at 3pm for our annual “Afternoon Tea with the Daughters of St. Paul.”
The guest of honor will be Boston’s own Father Robert Reed, president of the Catholic TV Network. At the event, Fr. Reed will receive the Cordero Award, which is presented annually to Catholics who have striven to uplift the human spirit and to recognize the dignity of the person in or through the media.
Fr. Reed oversees the production, acquisition and broadcast of increasingly diverse and high quality Catholic programs from across the nation. In addition, CatholicTV boasts of one of the finest network television websites with a 24-hour live stream and over 1800 full-length videos available for viewing and embedding.
Father Reed is host of the game show WOW: The CatholicTV Challenge, the reality series House+Home, and prays the Rosary with the television audience three times daily from various locations around the world. He often provides commentary for various national and international events.
All proceeds from this event will go to our Education Fund for our sisters. As our culture becomes more and more involved in digital media, we Daughters of St. Paul need a broad, profound, and ongoing education to keep up with the changing times. This is a challenge for self-supporting communities like ours. Your continuing support will help us build a world where human progress will be based on spiritual values.
The Daughters of St. Paul bring the Gospel of hope to people yearning for God’s love. We communicate Christ through our consecrated lives and every available means of communication. All our books and media are solidly rooted in our Catholic identity.
We hope you are able to join us and promise our prayers for you and your loved ones.
